Cant get more then 2 Tabs

Hello first of all I want to say you did an awesome mod! My only problem is that my LeapPad 2 seems to only allow 2 tabs (as in 2 pages) so I can only have a maximum of 19 apps...this is really sad because i have useless things like calculator and calendar, clocks, etc...Is there any way to increase the amount of pages? I basically made 15 videos and now I can only upload 3 because I'm out of "pages". I still have 3 out of the 4 gigs free..

Any help would be great thanks!

Also I don't use the original "LeapPad Connect" software because as soon as I use it it syncs in with the pad and removes everything I put on using your tool..

That is very strange that you can't have more "pages". I have many pages on my tablet. You could try connecting to the official software and updating to the latest firmware to see if that helps. You will lose your custom videos, but will just have to put them on again after. You could also try going into recovery mode to force an update to see if that fixes it.

Can I ask what is the latest firmware? Im about to head out once I get back home I can post the stats of my devices.
Also I know this may seem like a newbie question (sorry) but where is the option to update to the latest firmware? It didnt catch my eye anywhere on the software..

Once you load up the software and connect the device it should tell you that it needs to update after a minute. I believe there is an update button once its connected when you go to the parent account or settings page. If you want to force it to flash the latest and repair anything that may be wrong, you can go here http://spiffyhacks.harmonypogo.com/thread-15.html and follow the repair mode process. I am not sure what the latest is, but sounds like there may be some sort of issue you have. Are you sure when you add custom videos, it is not simply overwriting other ones so it looks like it doesn't allow more pages on the device? Each time it makes a video, it needs to have a unique ID which should auto increment in the software.

Sorry to hijack your thread. I have a similar issue with mine but I can have 3 pages full. As I upload more custom videos I lose others.
I'm guessing it's the unique ID number issue; I have ample space and I know others who have far more apps than me. Thanks for suggesting it.

I just removed all of my custom videos and ran official LeapFrogConnect software.
I then ran LFConnect and copied the VideoPlayerWidget back onto the device and tried to install 10 videos.
The software gave me this output:

Installed MoviePlayerWidget
Installed What does the fox say
Installed Beauty and the Beast
Installed Bingo
Installed In Summer
Installed Frozen - Let It Go
Installed Hickory Dickory Dock
Installed Incy Wincy Spider
Re-installed Mother Knows Best
Re-installed Peppa Pig Funfair
Installed Peppa Pig

I'm guessing the 'Mother Knows Best' and 'Peppa Pig Funfair' have the same ID number as two of my other videos as I only have 8 videos and am missing 'Frozen - Let it go' and 'Bingo'.

EDIT again as I've just answered my own question by opening the meta.inf files for the suspect videos. They do indeed share the same Product and Package IDs.
Should I just edit them and take out the next sequential number?

Ah this is indeed what it is. Everytime i put up videos it keeps over writing and says "re-installed x video" etc etc...so it looks like I might indeed have a unique ID issue here.

Is there any way i can change the Unique ID of the videos one by one with out having to redo them again?

And lastly, since i have 2 of these tabs do I have to make the video unique ID different on each tabs? For example video 1 has unique ID of 5 --- can that be placed on both tabs?

Yes just extract the tar and edit the ID's manually to be 1 higher. They have to be in a similar format so don't go changing it all up or it may not load. I have not fully tested the ID naming, but just followed the same format. Feel free to play around with it. The installer software does check the ID I believe when installing so if you mess it up too much, the installer may not install it.
