Firmware Question

Hi all,

My son recently received an Innotab 3 for his birthday and I was looking to patch it with the custom firmware. Currently based on the about page, it is running 1619.45.40516. I found the firmware patch for that on Deak's stickied post (v45.40516 - By gangmember2358). However there was a newer firmware listed for the Innotab 3 (v46.40521 - By Deak Phreak).

I connected the Innotab to the Vtech PC app, and it says that it is up to date. Is there any concern that it doesn't have the latest firmware? I couldn't find any release notes from Vtech to denote what changes are in the 46.40521 firmware.

Is it fine to just leave it on the v45 version and patch that using gangmember2358's patch?

yes it is fine to leave it and just patch it with that firmware. I am not sure the differences in the firmware updates, but am sure they are minimal and most people will not notice any differences.
