I have heard this before and usually happens to an SD card that is not very high quality or has other issues such as other files, not formatted correct etc. The firmware could have been corrupted as well when copying it over to the SD card.

It was a SanDisk I just got from Walmart. What do suggest I do to get it working again? Thanks for the help.

If you have knowledge of linux and have hardware to solder on a serial to USB converter then you can SSH into it and see if you can get it restored. You could also simply find one on ebay for cheap that works but has a busted screen for the same version as yours and then simply swap the insides with yours. Are you in the USA?
