Just as an idea I threw together this FlashPaper PDF made from the FAQ here at spiffyhacks. (08/11/2017)

I still think this is the best document viewer we could hope for on the leappad.

PRO's
  • Scrollable (D-Pad Up/Down)
  • Zoomable (D-Pad Left/Right)
  • Can import any "printable" document

CON's
  • Documents must be pre-generated into an SWF
  • Each document is its own loader (not great for a tile based desktop if you have many games/PDFs installed)
  • Dynamic Elements do not work E.G: Spoiler boxes, etc.. (Although the content would be visible if the spoiler was expanded before the document is sent to print.)

For anyone interested in making their own flashpapers;

Required Downloads:
  • FlashPaper2 (Serial Included)
  • A PDF file you wish to convert (Or any printable document, Example PDF included with Flashpaper.)

1.) Download, install and Run Macromedia Flash Paper2, Use the code included to register the full version and Close it.
2.) Open your Printable Document or PDF file and once its finished loading all elements click, File...> Print...> Macromedia FlashPaper,

3.) Let the progress bar do its thing, twice. Then you should be presented with your PDF in Macromedia FlashPaper,

4.) Click Save as Macromedia Flash, select a save location and you're done!

This is how good a leafpad document viewer could look.

PRO's
  • Scrollable (D-Pad Up/Down)
  • Zoomable (D-Pad Left/Right)
  • Can import any "printable" document

CON's
  • Documents must be pre-generated
  • Each document needs its own loader
  • Dynamic Elements do not work (Spoiler boxes,etc..)

For anyone interested in making their own flashpapers;

I used: FlashPaper2 (Trial Version)
as its old you can find a reg key on google >2min
How do I change the PDF file?

*FlashPaper doesn't work under Windows 8.1, any version above vista may have trouble due to driver signature enforcement, my advice is to use a Windows XP virtual machine when dealing with anything old and/or flash related to ensure reasonable compatibility.

*Windows print can now save any printable document to pdf, all that's left is to convert the PDF to SWF,
I don't know if the Leappad PDF UI was part of FlashPaper when it converts the file but these may be worth a try:

https://pdfmall.com/pdf-to-swf

Converted FlashPaper2 PDFs are compatible with the Leadpad Game Genie and the flash version used is compatible with the leappad 2.
