So I'm gifting my kid a handme down leappad 2 - it had a few profiles and it's in french. I wanted to delete the profiles so I downloaded the leap connect software and connected it. It did some updates but now when it reboots it asks me to disconnect and create a profile before reconnecting. The thing is I just get the "connect" with the exclamation mark. Any ideas? Could I use Leap Manager to add a profile? Did I brick the thing?

How to use:

     > your Game files are now ready to Package as a .tar and install! 


The Genie will not generate ICONS for your games, you'll still need to provide the Base_DA images.

The Mp3 Playlist Maker generates an empty \covers\ folder in the game folder, place 11 image files 1.jpg - 10.jpg and playlist.jpg inside
and you will have working artwork.

Bugs:
Base_DA = 83*88 causing the left edge of Base_DA visible on the dashboard icons
XP mkdir error, mkdir sometimes fails when making new game folder, sorry for wasting your time, run the generate code again and it should just work.
This shouldn't happen if the program is Run as Administrator

I also read that if you hold Down & Home during power-on it will do a factory reset or something.  Nope.  That does nothing but boot normally.

Just as an idea I threw together this FlashPaper PDF made from the FAQ here at spiffyhacks. (08/11/2017)

I still think this is the best document viewer we could hope for on the leappad.

PRO's
  • Scrollable (D-Pad Up/Down)

  • Can import any "printable" document

CON's
  • Documents must be pre-generated into an SWF
  • Each document is its own loader (not great for a tile based desktop if you have many games/PDFs installed)
  • Dynamic Elements do not work E.G: Spoiler boxes, etc.. (Although the content would be visible if the spoiler was expanded before the document is sent to print.)

For anyone interested in making their own flashpapers;

voici les symptômes.
je l'allume, elle démarre très bien.
par contre, je peut sélectionner le nom d'utilisateur, mais très rapidement.
si je ne le fait pas assez vite, elle reste bloqué.
si j'arrive a le sélectionner, je ne peut plus rien faire d'autre a part avec les boutons.

j’espère vraiment une réponse, car je vois beaucoup de post en anglais pour ce modèle.

1. download a swf file (less than 1MB seems to work, as I can't get angry birds to work. its 2mb)
2. untar the GoldMiner tar file
3. replace the swf file and rename it loader.swf
4. then re-tar it
5. use manager to 'load' it back to the device.


my question is - why doesn't the angrybirds.swf from the inno forum work?
how can I load multiple games?
how to switch the game from landscape to portrait? would be good for tetris.

I am fine as well, nothing that says I can't buy.

But I can't use the games! .. so is there a way I can copy over the games from one device to another?
