Add menu items to launcher

My question is can I use a pondlewder backup and place it in    lf/bulk/programfiles ??

And also Im confused about how I run the .inf file "from console"?  can someone explain this a little more for me.

Should be able to, just ftp them in, but if you use filezilla, select that it only use binary mode and not auto as it corrupts the files otherwise.

as Joshtech said, after you copy your files you can telnet to the leaptv and run
lfpkg2 /LF/Bulk/ProgramFiles/*/meta.inf

that should make all the stuff show on the menu.
