It kept complaining about checking the compatibility or something. Luckily I found a backup of the source code and was able to run it. I re-published and ran the file and it opened, but gave an error about not being able to load the SCSI library. I don't think this is similar to your issue since you can get it to run, it just won't connect. Unless it is having issues loading the library but it is not telling you that....
Edit: I plan on making a drop-down option to install themes from the theme folder and same with videos. This way you won't need to touch the UAC and can simply have the program install anything in the folder without dragging / dropping. The ability is basically there, but only for my use and for other things.
Uck, I feel for y ou there, Deak. Losing data is a real pain, especially when you're trying to help someone out! I hope nothing is irreplaceable!?
A drop-down option would be cool! Like Half Dead said, time you realise exactly what settings Windows wants you to make to get it running, it works brilliantly well for me in W7. Shame W8 is different.
I'll help give any new software releases a thorough testing; the LeapFrog App Centre UK has a 50% sale on top titles until 13th June so I got a couple of games a few days ago which I haven't uploaded to the LeapPad yet. As soon as I connect to the official software, I'll have to re-up all of my custom videos anyway.
