[App] - Innotab SD Scanner - Deak Phreak - 01-11-2015 Here is an app that runs on the PC. Insert your SD card to your PC and run this app to auto build your database with the apps on the SD Card. If you have a device with WIFI (2s, 3s etc) then create a file in the root of the SD called ueid.txt and simply put your Unit EID in there so it will always use it. The locations of the apps are as follows: SD:\LLN\APPS\Books SD:\LLN\APPS\Carts SD:\LLN\APPS\Games SD:\LLN\APPS\Other Go here to download http://spiffydirectory.com/software/InnotabSDScanner-27 RE: [App] - Innotab SD Scanner - Marsh - 01-21-2015 Hello, I just tried to use this scanner to update the database on my SD card. It added the entries to the database but stripped the icons, deleted all of the titles and descriptions from the apps already present in the database. It just left me with paths and no idea what the title are or where the icons went. ![]() RE: [App] - Innotab SD Scanner - Deak Phreak - 01-21-2015 This app is still a work in progress. If you place a file called info.txt into each app location and put the app name on the first line, it will use that name. If you place the app icon named icon.ico in the app directory then it will use that icon when importing to the database. This was documented somewhere. Can't remember if it was in the actual app or not. RE: [App] - Innotab SD Scanner - Marsh - 01-21-2015 (01-21-2015, 07:25 AM)Deak Phreak Wrote: This app is still a work in progress. Is it possible that the icon is embeded in the app itself, in some other form? The apps that I am referring to are mostly backups of bought cartridges. BTW I have a Innotab 3. RE: [App] - Innotab SD Scanner - Deak Phreak - 01-21-2015 Ah it looks like I put the info on the Innotab Manager app that has this functionality built in along with other features. http://spiffyhacks.harmonypogo.com/thread-483.html The files do not come with a .ico file. If you made the backups yourself, you will need to manually make the image icons. If there is a database with the values already in there, the icons are stored in the database. The icons on the tablet do not read from files, but rather from a database field. You can use the sqlite firefox plugin to open the database and import the icon files or save them from the database to .ico files. There should be an app on these forums to convert images to icon files. I have already installed the plugin and will try to import the icon files. I've already tried converting png and jpg files using the icon converter but I get an error that the resulting icon files are invalid and cannot be read. I've even tried converting the files to 16bit bmp's and resizing to 57x57 before converting but I still get the same error. Hopefully, the plugin will be more successful. Thank again. RE: [App] - Innotab SD Scanner - Deak Phreak - 01-22-2015 I have had issues with other SQL programs, but the firefox plugin one seems to work well as long as the converted icon file is correct to begin with. You're right, it worked like a charm! I figured out what I was doing wrong with the icon converter and after that everything went well. I'm quite happy right now. Thanks so much for your input! ![]() RE: [App] - Innotab SD Scanner - tegretol - 12-29-2015 Hello, The apply doesn't find my games in Carts directory (scanning ok but 0 games). It's ok with others directory (Books and Games). What's the problem?? Thanks RE: [App] - Innotab SD Scanner - Deak Phreak - 01-01-2016 Is it Carts and not carts? Are there subfolders under the Carts folder? I don't remember if the carts find them simply by the .bin files in the Carts folder or by subfolders. |
