hello all,
ive managed to ftp into my Sons leaptv...
i would like to know how to put videos onto it and what type of file do they need to be (avi etc)
if anyone could help i'd be most grateful

I don't have a LeapTV, but if it is anything like the other systems, the videos have to be made into an installable package so it runs on their system and shows up as an "app"

im using the leappad manager, when i click the 'video maker' it says ffmpeg is missing, so i click yes to download it but the menu after that wont let me select 'convert'...so i manually downloaded ffmpeg and extracted it but it still wont work?

Make sure ffpmeg.exe is in the same folder as the application so it can find it. It has been a while since I have used the app to convert a video so I'd have to look at it again.

its about an eight of the screen and it displays it in the middle? any ideas?

That is most likely because I coded the video maker for the LeapPad 2. I'd have to have the specs / original video from the LeapTV in order to be able to code it to work. Or a device to test on.

ok, if theres a video i could send you to hep let me know...joshtech has a different video player working and looks really good but cant find anywhere to download it from?

Yea he is not on here much and unsure what he used for that player. It might be possible to compile a media player such as http://www.videolan.org/vlc/#download to run on the device.
You could always go to his youtube video and post a comment asking for the source of the media player or send him a PM on here.

yeah i sent him an email earlier already
compile vlc ?..too complicated for me lol...would be so nice to have the media player working...it would complete the set up of games/mame/media player
...i could add doom/duke nukem but think its a bit too much for a 4 yr old...and the links are now dead...would be nice to have a download centre with all app/emulator files.
