Not sure about the size issue, you will have to keep playing with it. Unsure if you need to set anything in the meta.inf, been too long since I messed with it. With it auto removing, it is most likely due to you connecting to a PC with the connect software loaded or connecting to WIFI or a local network. Any way it can connect, it will verify your apps and delete any not registered to your account.
