I have no idea about patching it myself so I am very great full of your input. We got this Innotab3s for my son for Christmas as his brother already had one with your firmware patch. We've still not be able to let them have the same "content" on them due to the Learning Lodge hack
Is there anything different between the old firmware and new firmware?

It come bundled with the "Free" extra 4-5 games that Vtech we're giving away because of the down time on the Learning Lodge Software. Apparently it allowed Cartridges that normally required learning lodge to be played as well but I can't confirm that.
Had I not done the update, and now knowing how to retrieve the UnitEID without learning lodge I could have had it all up and running as I wanted. I wouldn't recommend the upgrade.

And download the Backup program. It creates a backup on the devices SD card.
You will need to edit the Unit EID

I had to upgrade my son's Storio 3S to the 74.50312 firmware version, in order to a run a "HD" game that he got for Christmas...
I would also be interested if it could be cracked

Je pense qu'il faut être un peu patient, Deak Phreak a publié ce matin le crack pour la version UK de ce firmware, 3 jours après que dan_t ait soumis son backup...
J'ai soumis le mien (version FR) hier, peut-être que s'il a un peu de temps à y consacrer nous pourrons avoir le crack dans les prochains jours

ta question n'est pas bête bruce30, j'y ai aussi beaucoup réfléchi et du coup j'ai pris le risque étant donné que j'étais un peu coincé et impatient.. et ça marche !!! J'ai pu flasher ma storio 3S avec cette version et installer des jeux sans problème alors n'hésite pas
