Looks like it has what I needed Device="LeapPadPlatinum" so I can target the device based on that in the firmware file. I can now set it as Platinum when you connect and can attempt adding the video to the database the same way the Ultra does, but I have no idea what will happen!
I will make this change and post a new version for anyone to test out if you dare
Edit: Also the video player I bundled with it was mainly for the LP2. I am unsure what video player the Platinum uses. I'd pull the player app off if I had one of them.

I did not bothered install the Video Player, do I need to? I am assuming that is why it says Missing Video Player

I doubt it would brick the unit, but may or may not corrupt the database. Worst case, you would have to boot to repair mode and connect the software to have it do a repair.
Yea, not sure if the video player is needed since it was pulled from a LP2. Might not even work on the Platinum.

Just wanted to check in to see if people are wanting me to work on this. I don't want to put too much time into it, if no one will even get use out of it.

yea would be awsome to have a new leappad manager that works with the newer versions of leappad i got a leappad platinum for my son i put movies on his older leappads and thats almost one of the first thing he ask if i could put movies and music on his platinum

Joined just to say YES! Definitely interested in a manager for videos on the Platinum! I got my son one and he loves his little shows and would love to at least have one on there for him as hes learning the thing.. hes almost 2 so it will keep him occupied for a minute at least haha!
